چکیده
The H2020 METRO-HAUL European project has architected a latency-aware, cost-effective, agile, and programmable optical metro network. This includes the design of semidisaggregated nodes with compute storage capabilities, which interface effectively both 5G access multi-Tbit/s elastic networks in core. In this paper, we report automated deployment services, particular, public safety video surveillance use case employing low-latency object detection tracking using on-camera on-the-edge analytics. demonstration features flexible network slice instances, implemented terms Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) function virtualization services. We summarize key findings detailed analysis end-to-end quality service, service setup time, soft-failure time. results show that round-trip time over an 80 km link is under 800 µs 180 s.

End-to-end Network Slicing for 5G Mobile Networks
The research and development (R&D) and the standardization of the 5th Generation (5G) mobile networking technologies are proceeding at a rapid pace all around the world. In this paper, we introduce the emerging concept of network slicing that is considered one of the most significant technology challenges for 5G mobile networking infrastructure, summarize our preliminary research efforts to ena...
متن کاملNetwork slicing management & prioritization in 5G mobile systems
5G mobile network is expected to serve flexible requirements hence dynamically allocate network resources according to the demands. Network slicing, where network resources are packaged and assigned in an isolated manner to set of users according to their specific requirements, is considered as a key paradigm to fulfil diversity of requirements. There will clearly be conflicting demands in allo...
متن کاملLocation-aware Communications for 5G Networks
5G networks will be the first generation to benefit from location information that is sufficiently precise to be leveraged in wireless network design and optimization. We argue that location information can aid in addressing several of the key challenges in 5G, complementary to existing and planned technological developments. These challenges include an increase in traffic and number of devices...
متن کاملEdge Computing Aware NOMA for 5G Networks
With the fast development of Internet of things (IoT), the fifth generation (5G) wireless networks need to provide massive connectivity of IoT devices and meet the demand for low latency. To satisfy these requirements, Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) has been recognized as a promising solution for 5G networks to significantly improve the network capacity. In parallel with the development ...
